Delete your MyNewt account

Sign in at mynewtbook.com, then go to Account › Erase or delete › Delete my MyNewt account. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and tap Delete it. It happens straight away.

If you want a copy of your data first, download a backup before you delete: Account › Back up & restore.

Write to support@mynewtbook.com from the email address your account uses, and ask for it to be deleted. It is done within 30 days, and you get a reply when it is.

Your sign-in, your name and your email address. Every amount, card, points balance and note you entered, with its history. Your bank connections are handed back to the provider first, and the passes into your mailbox and your browser add-on are deleted, so nothing goes on reading after you leave. If you were in a family, you leave it: what the others own stays theirs, and where one of them held a recorded share of something of yours, they keep their share.

An empty account record, without your name or email, and the dates it was used — so the MyNewt team’s log still adds up. Backups: the daily copies are deleted after 30 days, and one copy from each month is kept, sealed, for twelve months, so the whole app can be restored after an accident. A note of which banks you had connected, and when, because the connection service bills by the month — nothing about the money. If a bank could not be reached when you left, its connection is kept so it can be handed back later. And an email you sent the MyNewt team, such as a note from the app, stays in their mailbox.
